Where am I?

Media Center

The spacious Library Media Center (LMC) is the "hub" of Spring Hill Elementary School. The open library with flexible scheduling allows access to all students and staff anytime of the day. The seventy-five foot square LMC has a library classroom and LMC office on three corners, a table seating capacity of 58 in the non-fiction and reference section, and space to accommodate two story time groups at the same time. There may be three to four classes using the LMC at the same time.

The LMC is staffed by a full-time Library Media Specialist – Miss Little, and a part-time Library Aide – Mrs. Rodgers. The large collection is well-balanced with over 13,000 hardback books and over 1,000 paperback books.

The LMC is a popular place for many activities ranging from story time with primary students, instructional lessons on using library resources, research projects with access to multiple computers connected to the Internet, small groups working together, and a pleasant place to read a book.
