My History

In 1988, I started my teaching career at Spring Hill Middle School teaching Eighth grade American History and Seventh grade World History/Kansas History. After teaching for 12 years at the Middle School, I accepted a position at Spring Hill High School teaching World History I to freshman. In addition to my teaching schedule, I am an assistant coach for Bronco baseball and assistant coach for high school football, corresponding with the activities that I was involved in in college. My involvement with students goes beyond the classroom with my sponsorship of the High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle; a position that I have enjoyed since 1991.

In my personal life I have been blessed with a wonderful wife, Hallie, who is currently teaching Third grade at Hilltop Elementary. Other additions to the Young family are, Kylen, born in 1993 and Dalton, born in 1995. My free time evolves around spending time with the family, gardening, and fishing among numerous other outdoor activities.
