Marsha LytleLibrary Media Specialistlytlem@usd230.orgI have been teaching since 1997 and been in the Spring Hill district since 1998. I received my BA-Ed from Wichita State University and did some substitute teaching in the Wichita area before moving to SouthCarolina. I began working in a mental health facility as a library assistant. Eventually I transferred to the University of South Carolina Library and began working on my Masters in Librarianship. My first professional job was at Bowman Grey School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC as a cataloger. After staying home for several years as a full-time mom, I started a daycare businessin Olathe called Dinosaur Den Preschool. When I left there I began substituting, worked as a library paraprofessional at Bishop Miege, and began my library certification program at Emporia State University. My first school library position was in Inman, KS at a 7-12th grade school. We lived outside of McPherson on a pig farm, which was quite an experience. After returning to Johnson County, I started as a media specialist at SHHS and was there for eight years, during which I was National Honor Society sponsor and did STUCO sponsorship for several years also. In my spare time I read books for the Intermediate section of the Kansas Reading Circle, and write. I am a published author and write mostly for young adults and middle school level children. I have seven children and six grandchildren.
